Another important consideration that separates one manufacturer’s rig from another is its weight distribution and load based engineering. Just two sets of foam can weigh upwards of 2,000 lbs or more. The machine itself can also weigh hundreds of pounds. Add in a large generator, air compressor, tools and more and the rig becomes extremely heavy.
You should make sure the rig has undergone proper load distribution assessments and calculations relative to axel strength, tongue weight, location of materials and heavy machines for proper balance and transportation safety. Many rigs have multiple axels depending on their size and weight.
Depending on your state and DOT regulations you may need to consider whether a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is necessary to operate such vehicle weights and hazardous/corrosive materials.
